The BHP Focus ST225 block mod kit is a preventative measure to protect the block against the dreaded cracked liners. After 300 bhp and with very heavy use the liners can crack if over heated. The Block Mod kit uses shims to block and strengthen the water ways in between the cylinder liners which often overheat and Crack.
