Ecumaster PMU-24 DL 24-Output Power Management Unit with Data Logging
The Ecumaster PMU-24 DL is an advanced power management unit designed for professional motorsport, performance vehicles, and custom wiring applications. Building on the proven functionality of the PMU-16, the PMU-24 DL adds additional high-side outputs and integrated data logging, making it ideal for complex electrical systems that require precise control, monitoring, and protection.
With 24 high-side power outputs, up to 170A total continuous current, dual CAN bus communication, onboard data logging memory, and integrated motion sensing, the PMU-24 DL offers a powerful and flexible solution for modern motorsport wiring systems.
What Is a PMU Used For?
A Power Management Unit, or PMU, replaces traditional relays, fuses, and circuit breakers with a programmable electronic power distribution system. Instead of wiring multiple separate relays and fuse boxes throughout the vehicle, the PMU allows electrical devices to be powered, controlled, protected, and monitored from one central unit.
This makes it ideal for motorsport and performance vehicles where reliability, weight reduction, diagnostics, and flexible control are important. Devices such as fuel pumps, cooling fans, lights, ignition systems, water pumps, intercooler pumps, boost control solenoids, and other electrical loads can be controlled directly by the PMU.
Each output can be configured in software with current limits, activation conditions, fault protection, and CAN-based control. If a circuit draws too much current or develops a fault, the PMU can shut the output down and report the issue, helping protect the vehicle’s wiring and connected components.
