Blackline Ford Atlas Into English Plate Axle Style LSD Limited Slip Diff - 22 tooth PLF130/22 BF25

The power capacity of the English Axle has been considerably upgraded over 50 years. The original OEM 22 tooth half shafts were recognised as having maximum power of 150hp before inevitably failing. The introduction of 18 tooth larger diameter ‘4340’ half shafts increased this to 300hp, semi-floating. 

Unfortunately the next power limitation was the CWP but the recently high quality lapped sets CWP’s with correct set up will now take 300hp. 

The old Salisbury style LSDs was the next generation weak point but this Blackline type Atlas design has a power capacity equal to the Atlas LSD up to 300hp. The upgraded power train of the English Axle is now complete, the design also allowed ‘tune-ability’ of the break torque, the default setting is 60ft lbs (rally) but plate sets of 37ft lbs (oval race, road) or 80ft lbs (race) are available additional cost options.
