Description
Ecumaster EMU Pro-16 Pro 16 ECU Engine Management Unit
The EMU PRO is a stand-alone engine management system aimed directly at professional motorsport with a comprehensive feature set and vast tuning possibilities. It offers precise powertrain control coupled with the ultimate flexibility to adapt the engine calibrations for the most demanding projects.
Key Features
| Advanced fuelling model including closed-loop short- and long-term trim algorithms combined with fuel film model gives exceptional accuracy of injectors control. |
|
| Software is designed to give the user unprecedented flexibility of configuration of strategies. The user may adjust the size of all tables in the software and the channels used on each table axis. Bins values on the X and Y axis can be changed too, which increases the accuracy of the table readouts in non-linear parts of the described model. |
|
| Flexible system with custom functions, numbers, CAN inputs and CAN exports, well known from Power Management Unit (PMU) and Advanced Display Unit (ADU). |
|
| Stand-alone sequential gearbox/ paddle-shift advanced strategy, up to 4 closed-loop stages, PWM solenoids control. |
|
| Number of outputs and inputs covering most demanding applications. | |
| Engine type support – Four-stroke, two-stroke, rotary; up to 12 cylinders. | |
| Oxygen sensor – 2 x internal LSU 4.9 controller, up to 4 sensors support. | |
| 2 x DBW full support with auto-calibration. | |
| User-defined table sizes up to 32×32. | |
| Up to 4 VVT support, auto-calibration. | |
| 2 x CAN 2.0A/B, 1 x LIN bus. | |
| 2 x knock sensors. | |
| Logging to external USB memory. | |
| Up to 500 Hz data-logging. | |
| 8 x EGT inputs (or high-precision analog inputs). | |
| Total of 46 outputs and 30 inputs. | |
| Custom user functions, numbers, tables, and outputs. | |
| Water resistant IP 65 enclosure, bespoke CNC machined aluminium. | |
| On-line parameters analysis displayed on the graph log. | |
The GDI Driver is a high-performance aftermarket controller designed to interface with modern gasoline direct-injection (GDI) systems. Built for professional motorsport and advanced engine development, it enables precise management of injectors, fuel pumps, and sensors, ensuring stable operation under demanding conditions.
CORE CAPABILITIES
INJECTOR CONTROL
- Supports up to 8 peak-and-hold GDI injectors.
- Internal DC/DC boost converter steps supply from 12 V to up to 70 V, enabling extremely fast injector opening times and consistent spray characteristics.
- Advanced current regulation for both peak (fast opening) and hold (steady operation) phases.
- Designed for high dynamic range injectors, ensuring precise fuel metering at both low and high engine loads.
HIGH-PRESSURE FUEL PUMP (HPFP) CONTROL
- Supports up to 2 independent HPFP control valves (12 V, low-side drive).
- Fully synchronized with injector events to maintain consistent rail pressure across all operating conditions.
- Capable of managing dual-pump setups for high-output engines.
SENSOR INTEGRATION
- Native support for up to 4 SENT (Single Edge Nibble Transmission) sensors, commonly used for pressure and temperature measurement in modern GDI systems.
- Compatible with PWM and analog signal inputs for auxiliary sensors.
COMMUNICATION & DIAGNOSTICS
- CAN 2.0B interface for seamless ECU integration, real-time data streaming, and logging.
- Provides feedback on injector duty cycle, pump operation, and sensor data.
- Diagnostic functions include overcurrent protection, thermal protection, and fault reporting.
SYSTEM OPTIMIZATION
While the GDI Driver can interface with any ECU featuring a GDI control strategy, it is specifically optimized for EMU PRO ECUs. Together, they form a tightly integrated system that leverages:
- Advanced injection timing algorithms for multi-pulse injection control.
- Closed-loop rail pressure regulation for stable combustion under transient loads.
- Predictive injector modeling, reducing latency and improving repeatability.
BASE MAPS & ENGINE SUPPORT
To simplify calibration, pre-configured base maps are included for popular engines:
- Volkswagen/Audi EA888 Gen 3 (2.0 TSI)
- Ford 1.5L Dragon GTDI
These maps are validated for use with both the EMU PRO and GDI Driver, ensuring a reliable starting point for tuning. Additional engine support will be added in future software releases.
