Description :

AFM 22 : AFM 22 is the next step up on the ladder of metal-reinforced for cylinder head gaskets in combustion engines. Configured in line with the AFM 20, the AFM 22 will tackle any of the challenges which come up in virtually any conceivable operating situation. It is resistant to all of the usual liquid media that come up in engines and can withstand great mechanical stress.

AFM 37/8 : AFM 37/8 is a highly cost-effective yet high-performance material for low to moderate sealing requirements. It possesses good thermal and mechanical behaviour and is particularly suited to sealing against oil and other liquids.

REINZOLOID FS 53:  REINZOLOID FS 53 is an impregnated soft composite material on a cellulose base and features a good cost-to-benefit ratio. Gaskets made of cellulose are very adaptable and prove highly durable in contact with oil and fuel. When used on the right sealing joint, REINZOLOID FS 53 makes effective and affordable gasket solution.

Reinzosil:  This sealant is solvent-free , permanently elastic and fast hardening silicone compound for sealing flat surfaces where there is a sealing gap.

Technical Data:
AFM 22
Material
AFM 22 consists of a tanged and galvanized steel core. An asbestos-free soft material compound containing aramide fibers, inorganic fillers and high-grade binder elastomers is applied to both sides of the core.

Properties
AFM 22 exhibits very high mechanical strength together with very high pressure and temperature resistance, yet still conforms well to sealing surfaces.
The material is resistant to oils, fuels, and mixtures of water and antifreeze or corrosion inhibitors.

Application
  • for cylinder head gaskets in standard IC engines
  • for other sealed joints subjected to high mechanical and thermal stress, e.g. intake and exhaust manifolds, transmission flanges, and high-pressure pumps

Surfaces
For special applications, full-surface or partial coatings are available, e.g. a non-stick coating on a PTFE basis (also possible on materials in roll form) or a silicone-based coating that improves micro-sealing (only available as a finished gasket). Screen printing with various elastomers is also possible.
Approvals
Germanischer Lloyd (DNV GL)
Approval for shipbuilding

AFM 37/8
Material
REINZ-AFM 37/8 is an asbestos-free gasket material. It consists of aramide fibers and other asbestos substitutes that are resistant to high temperatures and are processed with high-grade elastomers under elevated pressure and temperature.

Properties
REINZ-AFM 37/8 is a very ecomomical gasket material. It exhibits good thermal/mechanical strength, is highly conformable, and is suitable for sealing oils and other liquids.

Application
For sealed joints that are subjected to low or medium mechanical stress.

    Surfaces
As standard, both sides of AFM 37/8 are coated with a non-stick, high-friction layer that greatly facilitates disassembly. In most cases, additional surface treatment is unnecessary.
